This project involved the upgrading of Limestone Park in Limestone Township, Lycoming County. Improvements included the installation of the following work items: a new paved handicap parking spot and loading area, new paved ADA accessible park pathway, a new children’s playground equipment piece supplied by Playworld Systems, and new park bench. The park is the first part of a two-part plan to eventually connect the park with the Nippenose Valley Village senior living community with a walking path system to enhance the park for all of its users.
Funding sources included the Township’s Local Fund and the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources (DCNR) and Natural Resources Bureau of Recreation and Conservation Keystone Recreation, Park and Conservation Fund.
