Winner of the PSAB 37th Annual Bridge and Road Safety Improvement Award. Bassett Engineering obtained $200,000 in grant funding from C2P2 and DCNR, designed, obtained permits, and provided construction phase engineering for a new river access to the West Branch of the Susquehanna River located at the intersection of Ontario Avenue and 5th Street in Renovo. Some of the key features of the project are:
- Five boat trailer spaces
- Eight car spaces
- One ADA accessible van space
- LED parking lot lighting
- 26 ft x 41 ft pavilion foundation and pad
- Footpath from the pavilion to the parking area
- Rain garden
- 105 ft concrete boat launch ramp with asphalt approach
- Asphalt trailer turn-around
Bassett Engineering also obtained $750,000 in grant funding from CDBG, designed, obtained permits, and provided construction phase engineering for the complete reconstruction of Ontario Avenue, which included work between 4th Street to 11th Street.
This project was featured on Newswatch 16, The Express (Lock Haven), and the Susquehanna Greenway and was visited by DCNR Secretary Cindy Adams Dunn.
