Hartleton Borough, Union County
COMPLETED: 2020
The work in this project included: 2,250 linear feet, more or less, of local roadway reconstruction from Laurel Road to the southerly borough boundary. The roadway followed the existing ground profile, but with some areas being over excavated to improve drivability and sight distance, and filling to raise the road in other areas to improve drainage. Contractor utilized conventional road reconstruction methods including removing the existing roadway to existing subgrade and installing stone subbase and pavement base and wearing courses. Constructed roadside shoulders and drainage ditches, reconnected to existing driveways, and paved to the grades shown on the design drawings with base and wearing courses.
Bassett Engineering assisted Hartleton Borough in earning the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) Multimodal Transportation Fund grant for this project.
