Bassett Engineering prepared a Land Development Plan for a multi-phased project for Walnut Street Baptist Church that included several additions to the school over a number of years, listed in the order of planned development:
- A Family Life Center consisting of a gymnasium/auditorium, locker rooms and fitness center;
- A lobby, kitchen and café to be built out from the north side of the Family Life Center; and,
- A Chapel, youth science center and pantry to be built onto the back (south side) of the existing school.
The soccer field occupies 6 acres out of a 27 acre-parcel that has been subdivided. The soccer field site was leveled by excavating high ground in the east-center part of the site and filling the west and south sides using the excavated material. The soccer field offers a spectacular view to the west and south, perfect for afternoon games.
