These two projects consisted of structural repairs to the Benton Dam along with the emergency construction of retaining wall repairs as a result of the January 2010 flood. 
The dam had a large leak in a section of concrete slab integral to the downstream apron of the dam. The spillway was repaired with a similar-sized slab, only thicker. Riprap was installed where areas of the dam aprons were undermined and downstream of the extended aprons.
For emergency repairs a reinforced concrete footer and foundation were constructed beneath the retaining wall. Minor erosion was repaired and riprap was placed in front of the wall.
A DEP Stream Improvement Program grant funded the retaining wall.
